Alan C. Green is a well-known leader in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. He has provided consultation to CLU for over 10 years and has been involved in the direct care of a number of CLU children and families. He is currently in full-time private practice, with an office located on the CLU site. The promotion of healthy families is the cornerstone of Dr. Green’s treatment approach. He guides children, adolescents, and their families along this path by emphasizing the development of not just emotional or mental well being, but also physical and spiritual vitality. Dr. Green is experienced in providing care at all levels, from outpatient to residential treatment. He also serves as an expert witness for the Courts in legal matters pertaining to children and adolescents.

Dr. Green received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his general psychiatry residency training at Harbor-UCLA and then went on to complete fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Forensic Psychiatry at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. He is a triple diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and forensic psychiatry. Prior to pursuing private practice on a full-time basis, Dr. Green was the Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He continues to be an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA and involved in the teaching and supervision of residents and fellows. In addition, he is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
