Art At Your Fingertips “Flip Out” (Upper School & Personal Milestones)

This project will introduce students to the history and art of traditional animation created by artist/inventors Eadweard James Muybridge and Walt Disney. Students will learn how animation is created and about the art and illusion of movement when they create their own hand drawn flipbook.

2nd Semester Pizza Friday Payment Due

This optional lunch program offers cheese and pepperoni pizza, fruit, and juice for $5.00 per lunch. Participation is done on a semester basis and requires advance payment.  Second semester Pizza Friday lunches start Friday, January 29th. Please see CLU email communications for more details.

Art At Your Fingertips “Roaring Rothko” (Lower School)

Inspired by Abstract Expressionist Mark Rothko, students will discover and experiment with color theory; the link between color and emotions and the symbolic significance of color through a hands-on experience. Using chalk pastels on black paper students will mix and blend colors to express their emotion, through an abstract work of art.
