Bernadette is an ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist, licensed by the state of California, and owner of private practice, Hello World Speech Therapy, Inc. in Torrance. She received her Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), and Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology at New York University (NYU). She brings over 7 years of clinical experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults with communication disorders in a variety of settings, including Mount Sinai Hospital of New York City, the Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, various public and private school sites, outpatient clinics, and in-home working directly with families. Her specialty is providing individualized speech and language intervention for pediatric populations with Autism, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, apraxia, phonological disorders, articulation, auditory and sensory processing disorders, and social/cognitive language disorders. She strongly values a collaborative team approach, working closely with related professionals and families, while merging child interests and strengths to support academic growth and healthy social/emotional relationships. She integrates technology, the latest applications, social media, and AAC devices to support communication skills and build competency to navigate today’s digital world. In her free time, Bernadette loves to run, spend time with her family, and is a huge sports fan in professional and college sports.
