RAP: Cooking “Spring” Rolls

April 25, 2013 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Fried vs. non-fried…vegetarian vs. meat-filled…rice paper or batter-based wrappers…there is a diverse array of choices when crafting these filled, rolled appetizers.  RAP participants will have a blast learning about, making and sampling these tasty treats.

Note: RAP is an attendance-based program.  Activities are subject to change depending on attendance.

RAP background:

The Center’s Relationship-Based Activity Program (RAP) provides an ideal opportunity for students to practice relationship skills in a planned and supervised social setting. This program is most beneficial for elementary, middle and early high school students who have difficulty making friends, are isolated from peers/adults, or who have had poor outcomes from other social skills training programs.

RAP’s low student/staff ratio further supports the needs of students who have attention deficit issues, learning disabilities, Aspergers Syndrome or Bipolar disorder. We focus on the joy of making friends, developing empathy, responsibility and respect, and learning the skills necessary to share our world with others.

This program is open to all students regardless of their “regular” school or school district.
